On Monday 2nd March, Stanford-le-Hope Primary School, part of the Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust, was presented with a Silver Diversity Mark Award.
The award was presented by the Mayor, Councillor Terry Piccolo and Councillor Bukky Okunade.
They presented the award to Ms Joy Leader, an Assistant Teacher at the school who has been leading on the initiative, Mr Shaun Childs, the Chair of Governors, and some of the children
The award, which is validated by Learning Workz, recognises the strong commitment to inclusion and diversity across the school. It also acknowledges good progress in achieving equality of educational attainment, within an ethos that promotes respect for difference across the whole school setting.
Miss Lisa Glanfield, Headteacher at Stanford-le-Hope Primary School, said: “This is fantastic recognition for all the great work that goes on at Stanford-le-Hope Primary.”
